He said the ministers and Japan’s representatives made the decision at the recent Asean Telecommunications and IT Ministers Meeting in Cambodia. More than 150 people a year would undergo training at the centre, Pichet said. The Japanese government would provide US$5 million for four years of operation, he said. The centre will upgrade skills in dealing with cyberthreats, including incident response, malware analysis and digital forensics.
