Provincial governors and district chiefs will lead the oath-taking ceremonies in front of King Bhumibol Aduladej's photo. Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the world's longest reigning monarch, died in October at the age of 88. Bhumibol was a beloved and unifying figure in Thailand, whose70 years on the throne provided a consistent backdrop of stability to the frequent turbulence of Thai politics.
