He stressed that air operations were carried out solely to defend national territory and were guided by the principles of necessity and proportionality. He reiterated that Thailand's operations are in line with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which recognises the right to self‑defence. AM Chakkrit noted that Cambodia shelled Thai territory on Tuesday and later issued an apology, which Thailand views as a constructive development.
