Acting Immigration Police chief Lt Gen Sompong Chingduang announced the arrest of Chaisilp Mekpho, 42, and his wife, Ratanaporn Khampit, 36. Sompong said the couple were arrested at Don Mueang International Airport on May 4. Acting on a tipoff, police performed colonic searches and found 200 grammes of ice inside the husband and 400 grammes inside his wife. The couple said they were hired by a Filipino woman, whose name was unknown, to deliver the drugs to Indonesia and they would only be paid after delivery.
