Sharon Lawman from Chon Buri province, who has both a Thai identification card and a Canadian passport, was arrested by a team of rangers and immigration officers manning the Aranyaprathet checkpoint. Officials became suspicious so they had a female ranger search her and allegedly found 0.617 grams of ketamine drug in a plastic bag hidden in her bra. She reportedly admitted that she had bought the drug in Poipet across the border to use with friends at a casino there and kept the rest for use at home.
