BANTING: A hearing-impaired man was today charged at Telok Datok Magistrate’s Court with murdering one out of four people killed and burnt in Tanjung Sepat last week. The case, however, was postponed to Jan 25 for the appointment of a suitable sign language interpreter to translate the charges against the accused, Kang Chang Heng, 38. Kang was accused of committing the offence at No 72, Jalan Tepi Laut in Tanjung Sepat between 4am and 5am on Dec 13. Deputy public prosecutor Ain Fadilla Md Ali applied to Magistrate Mohd Isa Md Nor for another date to allow the appointment of a suitable interpreter. It was reported that four people including two senior citizens, a 9-year-old boy and a toddler were found dead by firemen inside a burnt house in Tanjung Sepat on Dec 13.
