About 100 students blocked the road through Tejgaon Industrial Area for an hour starting around 11am on Sunday. The protesters left the road after Vice-Chancellor Prof Mashud Ahmed arrived on the scene an hour later and assured the students of meeting their demand. Traffic ground to a halt around Moghbazar and Mohakhali due to the protests, said Tejgaon Zone Additional Deputy Commissioner Baki Billah. The students did not cause any violence and returned to the campus afterwards, he added. All logical demands will be given their due consideration, but no unrest would be allowed on the campus, said VC Prof Mashud Ahmed.
