SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - Texoma FC has hired former Premier League player and coach Adrian Forbes as their inaugural sporting director. “To take up this opportunity to be part of the Texoma FC project and putting that together was a dream come true for me, and certainly a job role that I couldn’t turn down,” Forbes said. “Whether it be, you know, Norwich, Luton, Swansea or Blackpool - having the accolade of playing in the Premier League as well, you know the biggest league you might say in the whole world,” Forbes said. “I feel really privileged to have pulled the shirt on for those clubs.”In addition to Forbes’ long playing career, he’s also leaving his current coaching position with the Premier League’s Luton Town FC to join Texoma FC. With more club events coming soon and their first pro season around the corner, Texoma FC is well on their way to bringing soccer back to the area.
