Janice Hopkins Tanne New YorkA Texas district court judge has granted a woman an emergency temporary restraining order to allow her to have an abortion of her non-viable pregnancy despite Texas’s ban on abortions.12Kate Cox, 31, a married mother of two children, was hoping to have a third child but discovered at 20 weeks of pregnancy that the fetus had trisomy 18, which meant that lethal abnormalities would lead to the death of the fetus in utero or shortly after birth. At the time of going to press it was not known whether Cox had had the procedure.
