Craddick has made supporting the oil and gas industry a central component of her political platform. Public outrage has focused so far on the electric power industry and its regulators, many of whom have already resigned. Another report noted a days-long malfunction at its West Texas natural gas processing plant because of the cold weather. Governor Patrick is a longtime champion of Texas oil and gas industry which has made both our state and our country energy independent. So far, the oil and gas industry is pushing back on the idea.
