The right-hander Chad Green, who left his start on Friday with pain in his right elbow, had a magnetic resonance imaging test on Saturday that revealed he had a sprained ulnar collateral ligament and a strained flexor tendon in the elbow. Green will see the team physician, Dr. Christopher Ahmad, in New York on Monday for further evaluation. Green quite likely will not pitch again this season, but he said that at this point, he did not believe that he would require surgery.
