One of the biggest things preventing Elon Musk from releasing a mass market electric vehicle comes down to the vehicle's blessing and curse: its lithium-ion battery. Tesla Inc. has rolled back plans to close stores and will raise prices on some of its electric-vehicle models, an apparent about-face after the auto maker said last month it would shut down many of its locations as part of efforts to move sales online only.
