First-quarter deliveries included about 50,900 Model 3s and a combined 12,100 Model S sedans and X SUVs. A “massive increase” in Europe- and China-bound shipments resulted in “many challenges encountered for the first time” that Tesla didn’t clarify. The company also said U.S. orders for Model "significantly outpaced what we were able to deliver in Q1."
