Terry Glavin: Yet another reason Canada's oil and gas workers feel like no one cares

FCL Ltd.’s Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina ordinarily churns out nearly seven billion gallons of product every year. It’s one Canada’s largest refineries, and the FCL Ltd. network takes in nearly 800 gas bar and cardlock locations from Ontario to the British Columbia coast. The Regina refinery produces 90 per cent of the network’s profits — roughly $1 billion in each of the past two years. The workers have been on a picket line in brutal weather, for weeks now. In Western Canada, what you’ll get is a deepening conviction among workers in the oil and gas industry that the rest of us are perfectly content to have them all tossed on the scrap heap.
