Hamimah Tuyan will chair a new trust launched to create a legacy for families affected by the March 15 terror attack and to distribute community funds for projects promoting social cohesion. Surviving women from the Christchurch terrorist attack have launched a “legacy” trust to fund initiatives designed to build community cohesion. The Sakinah Community Trust has come to fruition this month, where a founding board of widows, mothers, and daughters of those killed will decide how the remaining Christchurch Foundation community fund of almost $100,000 will be spent.
