more-inTension prevailed for some time outside the Chengalpattu Medical College Hospital on Monday morning as a group of people staged a demonstration demanding a “proper inquiry” into the death of a preacher at a religious institution in Adayalacheri under the Koovathur police station limit. A preacher was found dead on the institution’s premises on Saturday. The body was moved to the hospital for post-mortem after the police registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances. On Monday morning, a group of people staged a demonstration in front of the hospital demanding a proper inquiry into the death. They withdrew their protest after police and revenue officials assured them of an inquiry as per the law.
