more-inTension prevailed at Hunasamaranahalli Mutt as hundreds of villagers and devotees staged a protest after a CD containing visuals of the mutt seer Dayanand swamiji in a compromising position with a woman was leaked. Dayanand swamiji was supposed to take over as the head of the mutt soon. The Chikkajala police rushed to the spot and contained the situation. The mutt, which had over 1,500 acres of land donated by erstwhile Mysuru maharaja, is considered to be one of the richest mutt in the state. Members of the mutt trust accused Dayanand swamiji of selling land belonging to mutt to private parties at throwaway prices.
