A Tennessee airbase was placed on lockdown Wednesday following reports of suspicious activity at the site. Lt. Col. Travers Hurst told WCTV a student on McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base reported seeing someone with a gun, sparking fears of an active shooter. The Tennessee National Guard tweeted shortly before midday local time: 'Tenn. Guard security personnel are currently working w/state and federal law enforcement at McGhee Tyson Air Base on reports of suspicious activity. McGhee Tyson Airport is not thought to have been affected by the lockdown.
