Ten years in one job is enough... says Pieta House founderIT’S been a momentous few days for Pieta House founder, Joan Freeman. Fast forward 11 years and Pieta House now has 13 centres nationwide and has helped more than 30,000 people since its humble beginnings. In reality, she began the difficult process of “separating” from Pieta House after stepping down as CEO at the end of 2014. “I was in mourning, I think, when I look back,” she says of stepping down as CEO of Pieta House. She has since campaigned for improving child mental health services and is Chair of the new Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Future of Mental Health.
