French prosecutors have charged ten men aged 29 to 50 in relation to a probe into the alleged rape of a five-year-old boy while drugged. An investigation was opened on February 15, 2025, following a report on a 'chemsex' party the previous night in the northern city of Lille, the prosecutor's office said on Tuesday. One of the main suspects killed himself while being held in pretrial detention in June last year, the prosecutor's office said, without providing further details on his identity. The child is being looked after by his mother, from whom the father had separated before the alleged abuse, the prosecutor's office said. After being tested in 2020, shortly after Dominique Pelicot's arrest, she discovered that she had contracted four sexually transmitted infections as her rapists were not made to wear condoms.
