Ten arrested for wildlife trading near Bangkok temples


The National Parks Department taskforce joined metropolitan police to inspect the booths, discovering animals including red avadavat, which are also known as strawberry finches; Scaly-breasted munia, or spice finches; and Yellow-headed temple turtles. The suspects were charged with possessing and trading in protected species without permission and detained by police for further legal proceedings.
