Fire and Emergency New Zealand were called to a car and garage fire in Temuka on Sunday. A fire inspector is investigating the cause of a blaze that damaged a car and garage in Temuka on Sunday night. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fenz) spokesman said they were initially called to a car fire at 8.06pm and the Temuka brigade arrived to find a vehicle and garage “going pretty well” at the corner of John St and Domain Ave.Additional crews were called from Timaru and Washdyke, he said. He said both the vehicle and structure were extensively damaged but the cause of the fire was not known. No one was injured in the blaze, he said.
