Stalin on Tuesday criticised the Tamil Nadu government for seeking a temporary solution on the NEET issue and said the government should raise its voice to protect the State’s rights instead of trying to adopt an escapist attitude. In a statement issued here, Mr. Stalin said the Edappadi K. Palaniswami government was trying to find a temporary solution seeking an exemption from NEET for medical admissions at least for one year. Mr. Stalin questioned why the NEET exam held this year not be deemed cancelled when Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar had accepted that a uniform question paper was not given. What sort of compensation are you going to provide to students who are affected this year?” Mr. Stalin asked. “In what respect do the Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and the Madras Medical College fall short?” he asked.
