Temperatures soar to 77F today before a scorching 87F week-long heatwave arrives tomorrow


The Met Office has issued a yellow rainfall warning for western Scotland where as much as 50mm of rain could fall in hilly areas. Today hundreds of visitors descended upon Bournemouth beach to enjoy the warm and sunny weather. Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge told MailOnline: 'There's a stark difference between western Scotland and the rest of the UK. 'Across western Scotland there's going to be rain that's set to continue for the rest of the day. 'However in complete contrast for the rest of the UK it's going to be a dry day.
