Temperature on Mt. Pulag drops to 9°C

Pulag in Kabayan, Benguet have reached 9 °C and trekkers are advised to prepare for even colder days. In past years, temperature on Luzon's highest peak has reached as low as 2°C. The national park is a popular attraction and park managers have had to control their influx during peak seasons like summer and Christmas. Pulag National Park and Protected Area Office said trekkers and adventurers who plan to go up the mountain should bring thick and extra warm clothing against the biting cold of the mountain peak. Pulag, at over 2,900 meters above sea level, is the third highest peak in the country.
