The province’s Meteorological Office reported a temperature of 4C on Phu Ruea and 6.5C at the top of Phu Kradueng mountain. The temperature on the lowland in the province ranged from 12 to 17 C in the morning, the office added. In downtown Loei City, for example, the temperature was 12.4C, in Dan Sai district 12C and in Chiang Khan district 15C. Many villagers wrapped in several layers of thick clothes went out to warm themselves up around fires.
