OTTAWA — Conservative MP Jamil Jivani said on Wednesday that he has a message to Canadians from U.S. President Donald Trump: “Tell the Canadians I love them.”Jivani announced on Wednesday that he was in Washington, D.C. to meet representatives from General Motors and to attend Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast in the U.S. capital. The President asked me to pass along a message: ‘Tell the Canadians I love them’,” Jivani wrote on social media on Wednesday evening. In a post on X on Tuesday, Jivani said his trip to Washington is a chance to help Carney with the upcoming Canada-United-States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) review. Industry Minister Melanie Joly said Jivani should be doing more to denounce GM’s actions, which are directly impacting his constituents. On his way into that meeting, Poilievre was asked what advice he gave Jivani before his trip.
