Teletext Holidays under investigation after hundreds told to wait a year for refunds

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said it has received hundreds of complaints from holidaymakers who are still waiting on refunds for cancelled package holidays - despite the law stating all money must be returned within 14 days. Since March, the CMA has written to more than 100 package holiday firms who have flouted consumer rights laws on refunds. "Airlines and hotels must also return customer money for cancelled holidays to agents and package providers to facilitate this process." The Refund Credit Note must include the original booking details and reference. A holiday voucher is different to a Refund Credit Note.
