Telemundo Debuts 'La Voz' With Luis Fonsi, Alejandra Guzmán, Carlos Vives and Wisin


La Voz, the first-ever U.S. Spanish-language version of The Voice, scored four of the biggest Latino music stars in the industry as the singing competition's inaugural coaches: Luis Fonsi, Alejandra Guzmán, Carlos Vives and Wisin. Now, the immensely popular and chart-topping artists are set to discover promising Spanish-speaking vocalists in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The first season winner of La Voz will receive a $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract with Universal Music Group to produce, record and commercially release a single. Telemundo previously aired four seasons of children's singing competition La Voz Kids (from 2013 to 2016) to great success on Sunday nights. The series is created by John de Mol, who serves as executive producer along with Cisco Suárez, EVP of Primetime Non-Scripted Programming at Telemundo, Stijn Bakkers, Talpa Media USA, Tim van Rongen, Talpa Media USA and Macarena Moreno, executive producer at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
