The Legal Practice Council had brought an application to have advocate Malesela Teffo either suspended or struck from the roll. On Friday, Teffo spent most of his time asking for a postponement to prepare his defence. He claimed he was never given any court papers, but the court pointed out this was untrue, given the correspondence in its possession. Before Teffo could return to the constitutional arguments, advocate Mfesane Ka-Siboto, for the LPC, objected to Teffo basing his arguments on Section 35. Teffo again submitted he should be given the court papers and be allowed to prepare before returning to court to make arguments.
