Morley Googoo, the regional chief for Newfoundland and Nova Scotia with the Assembly of First Nations, said there wasn't a local Indigenous company that could make the teepees. Owners Selene and Alex Cole learned specialized manufacturing techniques from local Indigenous communities, as well as by travelling around the world. "I'm a very willing and intentional holder of this information, and I'm very excited about the opportunity to pass it back," Alex Cole said.
