Sadly, just before prom, grandpa Mike had to be hospitalized for a toe amputation and it was taking him some time to recover. Therefore, there was only one way to make sure grandpa was part of the big night. Grandpa Mike had always been there at Leon's milestone moments, from homecoming to formals, so it was only right that he was there for prom night.
