Teenager stabbed at Maryland high school after argument

A 16-year-old student was stabbed in the cafeteria at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, police and school officials said Tuesday. The student, who did not suffer life-threatening injuries, was cut behind the ear and on the arm, and stabbed in the back, after he and a 14-year-old classmate argued, said John White, spokesman for Prince George’s County Public Schools in suburban Maryland. The incident happened about 10:30 a.m. The alleged attacker, who suffered a minor injury to his hand, was charged with assault with a cutting instrument and disruption of school activities, said George Mathews, of the Greenbelt Police Department. Both students were taken to local hospitals, school officials said.
