The victim, believed to be 18, was found with knife wounds after an altercation in York Way, Islington, on Tuesday night. Police were called to the scene at 10pm but the group of suspects had fled by the time officers arrived. The victim was taken to hospital where he remained in a critical condition on Wednesday morning, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said. The incident comes amid a rise in violent crime in London and parts of the UK.
