The youth was identified as 18-year-old Shawon, a resident of the city’s Fakirapool neighbourhood. The incident took place at the Arambagh intersection around 4am. The victim was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Sub-Inspector Md Bachchu Mia of the DMCH police outpost, citing one of his friends. Meanwhile, at least 13 were wounded as a laguna struck a tow truck parked in Jatrabari’s Matuail area. Fire Service Official Mahfuzur Rahman said the incident occurred around 4am when the driver lost control of the laguna that was heading for Jatrabari from Sarulia.
