Teenage rowers' dreams of national glory scuttled by lockdown


A teenage rower on her way to the top of the national rowing scene has had her dreams of glory scuttled by the March lockdown. For the past year, Elle Henry, 17, had one goal in her mind, to become the fastest female teenage single sculls rower in New Zealand. Supplied/Stuff Ella Henry, 15, came sixth in the girls under-16 single sculls’ at the 2019 Aon Maadi Cup National Championship. It was back to the drawing board for the Onewhero School student, but luckily rowing for Ella rowing was in her blood.
