The girl, clad in a burqa, was waiting for a ride at the intersection around 9am, Joydebpur Police Station's Sub-Inspector Zakir Hossain said quoting locals. "She was standing on a slab covering the drain. She fell inside the drain as the slab slipped away after being hit by a bus. "She got sucked into the flow of drain water and her body was carried about 100 feet away," he said. Police and locals took her to Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
