The off-duty sergeant was allegedly confronted by two 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old girl on Alice Street in Newtown in Sydney at about 1am on Sunday. She was tending to a distressed teenage girl on the street when the group approached, leaving the policewoman with a stab wound to her torso. He was refused bail and will appear in a children's court on Monday. She was also refused bail and will appear in a children's court on Monday. He was granted bail to appear in a children's court on September 21.
