A nail biting finish to the prestigious Olympic Cup at the 2018 Horse of the Year event on the weekend saw Briar Burnett-Grant [17] prevail over the very in-form Australian Clint Beresford. She is the youngest to ever win the event and the youngest to compete on the weekend. With the age limit set at 16-years-old to compete in the Olympic Cup it was Briar's first time and said she did not back herself at all to win. Rails kept falling in the second round but that didn't stop Briar - and Clint - producing a clear second round. With the Olympic Cup firmly notched in her belt, Briar has big plans to defend her title at the 2019 Horse of the Year event.
