(File Photo)A Taranaki teenager remains critically injured and in intensive care after a car slammed into a power pole on Sunday. The 18-year-old was flown to Wellington hospital in a critical condition after the 3.40am crash near the Subway restaurant on Pohutukawa Pl in Bell Block. A Capital & Coast District Health Board media spokesperson confirmed the teenager was still in a critical condition in the intensive care unit. Police previously said speed appeared to have been a factor, but other contributing causes remained under investigation.
