KUALA LUMPUR: University student Samuel Tin had not expected that his quiet act of kindness would go a long way for the Malaysian public. His act of kindness, which was captured in several photographs by a passerby, was widely applauded especially among the Muslim community. It went viral after it was shared on Facebook by Rakan Muslimah Al-Falah II, receiving a strong, positive reactions from netizens. Tin, who is humbled by the praises, said he didn’t do anything special, just responded in a normal way to someone who needed help. Tin, a second year Performing Arts student in Sunway University, received many encouraging messages from friends after his act of kindness went viral in social media.
