It is believed Emily is the first person to have died in an electric scooter crash in the UK after she was fatally hit by a lorry near her London home on Friday. On Saturday morning, a teenage boy riding an e-scooter slammed into a bus stop in London and had to be flown to hospital in an air ambulance. A spokesman for the force said: "Police were called to Monks Orchard Road, Beckenham, at 11.42am on Saturday, 13 July, to reports that a teenage boy had crashed an electric scooter. "A 14-year-old boy was found with a serious head injury after it was reported his scooter had collided with a bus stop. Paramedics battled to save her, but Emily was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at around 8.30am.
