The family of the teenage boy who was killed in a brazen daylight shooting on Saturday have identified him as Caheem Monteith, 17. Monteith was visiting friends, in the backyard of a home on Shoreham Ct., near Jane St. when a black SUV pulled up, police say. Two males got out of the car and shot the boy four to six times before fleeing in the vehicle. The boy’s uncle, Orlando Monteith, confirmed that the victim was his nephew, Caheem. The incident is Toronto’s 60th homicide this year and comes only one day after Toronto’s 59th, who police have identified as Adrian Thomas, 25 of Toronto.
