A teenager who worked at the corner store George Floyd visited the night of his death testified Wednesday that he felt guilty about the events surrounding Floyd’s killing. The state calls its NINTH witness: Christopher Martin, a 19-year-old man who was working at Cup Foods the night of George Floyd's arrest. Asked why he felt guilt, Martin responded: “If I would have just not taken the bill, this could have been avoided.”During Derek Chauvin's trial, Cup Foods clerk Christopher Martin described watching George Floyd's fatal arrest and feeling "disbelief and guilt." Like Martin, Frazier said she has felt guilty over what had happened that night in May 2020. “When I look at George Floyd, I look at my dad,” said Frazier, who was 17 at the time of Floyd’s arrest.
