Facial recognition technology is employed at Indian airports – it’s being tested at Bangalore, Delhi and Hyderabad airports, and the government says it plans to roll it out nationally to fight crime. Technology experts say it’s the first time recognition software has been used to screen an Indian political rally. Delhi police just announced they employed facial recognition software at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political rally December 22.
