ROOT SportsFans of teams on the ROOT Sports networks looking to in-market stream games, you’re going to need to be patient. "Distributors of ROOT SPORTS are working with ROOT SPORTS and MLB Advanced Media on implementation and technical requirements to authorize customers,” said a spokesman at AT&T, of which ROOT Sports is part of the AT&T Sports Network. “We are hoping that ROOT SPORTS viewers will be able to stream the games from their distributors who decide to offer them, starting in May." Fans will need to authenticate that they do, indeed, have pay-TV access to allow the games to be streamed. The teams that are on the ROOT Sports networks include the Seattle Mariners (ROOT Sports NW), Colorado Rockies (ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain), ROOT Sports Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh Pirates), and ROOT Sports SW (Houston Astros).
