Ms Anne Wairimu Mwangi, a housewife, joined Ekeza Sacco in 2017 and had saved Sh14,000. SH670,000Ms Mwangi went to her local Sacco branch in Kahawa West, but found they had closed shop. She joined the sacco four years ago and grew her savings from Sh500 to Sh670,000 by saving the little she earned from her business. “Last year I went to get a loan from the sacco, but I was told that I couldn't get one. I've been going to the offices and finding them closed,” Ms Wairimu said.
