Police have fired tear gas in Central 10 minutes after demanding protesters attending an assembly to disperse. The assembly in Chater Garden calls upon international sanctions against human right abuses in Hong Kong. The assembly secured police permission, but a proposal to march from the garden to Causeway Bay was banned. However, people attempted to defy the ban and continue with the march. At least two police officers were assaulted, according to witnesses at the scene.
