Apart from an Australian journalist, the latest to wade in is former All Blacks’ coach Sir Graham Henry, the man who took them to the 2011 World Cup title at home. In 16 Tri-Nations seasons from 1996, the All Blacks won 10 times and since the Rugby Championship in 2012 to include Argentina, they have won five of six. Since the trophy was contested in the 1930s, the All Blacks have won it 45 times against 12. Come November, the All Blacks and Wallabies will be pitting themselves against northern teams buoyed by what the touring Lions showed in New Zealand last June and July. The All Blacks may have wrapped up the series, but there’s the issue of national pride and bragging rights to be fought for.
