Bangladesh football team manager Amer Khan BFFAmer and Fuad will be retested Saturday along with the othersBangladesh football team manager Amer Khan and physio Fuad Hasan Hawlader Friday tested Covid-19 positive after arriving in Qatar, ahead of their World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifier against the Asian champion, scheduled for December 4. Bangladesh Football Federation general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag informed that all the players and coaching staff members gave samples for Covid-19 testing after setting foot in Qatar Thursday. Amer and Fuad will be retested Saturday along with the others. Prior to departing for Qatar, the Bangladesh contingent underwent Covid-19 tests in Dhaka’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital, all of which came out negative with the exception of defender Manjurur Rahman Manik. Bangladesh head coach Jamie Day did not travel with the team after testing positive for the novel coronavirus, while striker Nabib Newaj Jibon was not in the travelling party due to injury.
